Maybe a notch below his usual -very high- standards, but still solid Heavy Metal with killer solos.
One or two objections though, as far as song-writing direction is concerned:
“Punk” sticks out like a sore thumb, and I mean that in a bad way [lyric-wise is relative to Tuff‘s “American hair band”, no complaints there]
    An unfortunate choice indeed.
So are the few bits of *harsh* vocals thrown in (“Crushing daze” mainly) winking at NWoAHM perhaps…
But hey, if it was up to me all tracks would follow the pattern of “Destruction” which in its turn is reminiscent of… hmmm “I’ll see the light tonight” by Y.J. you-know-who 😉
Don’t blame me, it’s part of the ageing process. Next thing you’ll know, I’ll be voting for the conservatives 😛

Bad luck for Europe. The Japanese edition contains a bonus track called “Stay tonight” which happens to be the best of the whole album 🙁
