Sammy Hagar/Joe Satriani/Michael Anthony/Chad Smith
Most say *Supergroup* (exclamation mark), while others are making derogatory remarks e.g. Chickenshit 😛
[you’ve got to admit it’s a catchy wordplay]
In either case this band/side-project/whatever doesn’t go unnoticed.
Technically speaking, it is a supergroup. And as such it breeds high expectations:
They should be at least as good as Van Halen or RHCP, right?
Well, my criteria are somehow different.
There were 3 reasons and 3 reasons only why I picked this CD:
#1 Joe Satriani
#2 Satch
#3 The bald guy from G3
I believe you get the picture 😉
Oh, make that 4. The heat sensitive digipack was a nice touch.
No matter how talented the rest of the members are, they fail to intrigue me.
Sammy Hagar’s career outside Van Halen is completely indifferent – the same applies to Michael Anthony.
As for Chad Smith, I don’t have a single Red Hot Chili Peppers album in my collection nor do I intend to, unless someone is giving them away for free 😛
[I do have Glenn Hughes’ solo works he played in though]
btw, does this guy resemble Will Ferrell or is it just me?
The verdict:
Won’t be included in my top-10 list of 2009. That doesn’t necessarily mean Chickenfoot’s first attempt (given the commercial success they have so far, we should be expecting new material in the near future) is mediocre.
It’s just I’d rather have a new Satriani or Van Halen album instead, that’s all.
Standouts:
#10 “Turnin’ left”
Sammy Hagar shouting “Arriba, ‘riba” on #6 “Get it up” (I recommend using more Spanish words as they spice up the songs!)

I don't know… I think I have to disagree with you.
In my opinion, Sammy has definitely still got it. And I think this may be some of his best work to date.
Satch sounds really great and really edgy too. However, Chad Smith and Michael Anthony do go somewhat unnoticed and blasé in this production.
Thank you much for the bonus material. Awesome!
A great piece of work!
Otimo post, esses caras sao os verdadeiros mestres do Hard.

Bueno, gracias.
Faulty RAR!
The Chickenfoot [FLAC] download from Anonfiles.com is faulty and requires use of the RAR recovery process to repair the file prior to extraction.
While the repaired file appears to be okay, I’m not really comfortable with it at all.
A known error-free download would obviously be preferable to a faulty one that needs repair.
Thank you, Ι love this album.
The Solidfiles FLAC link is still good, thank you!
I actually bought this CD cheap from the bargain bin and only played it once many years ago. I have never seen it again since that time!
If possible could you fix the *Bonus Material* link. Thank you very much!
