The man never ceases to amaze me, how the Hell does he do it?

After “Silence followed by a deafening roar” I thought to myself:
“OK, that was beyond doubt the pinnacle of his entire career, I’d better lower my expectations now.
What are the chances of releasing two consecutive masterpieces? Pretty slim right?”
The successor –ANY successor- wouldn’t stand a chance…

Well, being wrong has never felt so good 🙂
I’m mot suggesting this joint effort tops SFBAR – after all, it’s impossible to surpass perfection!
But you have to admit it comes pretty close.
As far as Freddie Nelson is concerned, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
Classy performance, nothing to envy from Gilbert’s former singers/bandmates; I do hope they make another album in the near future.

Oh, one last thing:
After viewing the scanned artwork you’ll notice this is a *promotional CD* [a relative message is printed on the disc]
What can I say? I was waiting patiently for prices to drop/or a good bargain on eBay -I’m after the Japanese pressing as usual- when I spotted this promo copy for just a few quid [£3½ to be precise – including p&p].
There are quite a few scuffs on the disc, some dent marks on the booklet and the jewel case is broken – rather expected given its purpose.
The CD plays perfectly though and in the end that’s all that counts.
Besides, the extraction log came out *clean* – no errors whatsoever in case you were worried 😉
