First things first:
If you ask me, Glenn Hughes’ name should have been included in the title.
The unsuspecting listener will never guess this was intended to be a *solo* album, it sounds more like the work of a regular band.
Norum & Hughes are completing each other perfectly, it’s a matter of having the right chemistry really.
I’m telling you, when #5 “We will be strong” turn comes, you’ll be (unpleasantly) surprised.
That’s the only track featuring a different singer.
And not just everybody, Norum’s old partner and Europe’s frontman Joey Tempest which I happen to like a lot.
And yet his vocals spoil the album’s flow to the point of thinking: “Something’s wrong, this doesn’t belong here”.
Incidentally, that particular song (along with #10 “Still the night”) was excluded from the American re-issue.
They were replaced by 2 live versions of “Don’t believe a word” and “Free birds in flight”.
Don’t ask me why, I have the SAME question.
Let’s see, what else is worth noting…
A stunning ballad (“In your eyes”), a Thin Lizzy cover -almost- as good as the original (“Opium trails”) and last but not least, a short instrumental that will bring you to your knees!
Heads up guitar aficionados, here comes “Endica”.
CRANK IT UP! You’ll be scraping your brains off the floor – Guaranteed.

As mentioned earlier, the US edition [issued by Shrapnel Records two whole years after the European/Japanese] features a different tracklisting.
Well, I can’t afford to buy everything, but luckily Paul [Nickname: paulchina] from Demon’s Eye Forum has the American pressing and was kind enough to rip & upload it.
Both tracks: mp3 CBR 320 kb/sec
