Re-ripped/re-uploaded due to popular demand.
I’ve been getting some messages from fans who claim they can’t find it on CD, consider it a rare release and so on.
I beg to differ. Not only can it be found on various (web) stores, it’s ridiculously cheap too!
I got my copy from AOR Heaven [Metal Heaven, a subsidiary record label, is responsible for the distribution] last October for just €5 🙂
And guess what, I just checked and there’s a special offer: now it costs half the price!You cannot possibly consider yourself a Riot fan and not have the original, that’s for sure…
The album is brilliant from start to finish, why it never hit the charts is still a mystery to me.
All the right ingredients are there.
Songs that grab you by the neck such as the opener, “Ready” [they must be relieved now that George Bush Jr. is out of the picture] and “America” [which for some reason isn’t listed anywhere]
Then there’s the more sentimental approach of “Breathe”, “Ashes” and “Angel (for Anne)”, all very emotional.
Actually, only one track failed to thrill me -the album’s self-titled, “Accelerator”, everything else is just plain remarkable.
Overall Rating: 8 *Brooklyns* 😉 out of 10
