A few words about Mind’s Eye:
Although the band was founded in the early 90’s [and had their first album issued in 1998], it wasn’t until 3 or 4 years ago I noticed them.
Apparently I wasn’t the only one impressed; upon its release “Walking on H2O” made quite an impact on the Prog community.
No surprise there – unlike many *Prog-something* albums (demanding listener’s full attention/repetitive plays in order to “get them”) you won’t have to play it more than once to appreciate what these Swedes have to offer.
Which is dreamy melodies, vocal choirs from another world and lyricism.
All beautifully combined resulting in a work that can only described as inspirational.
Track #3, “Equally immortal”, alone is worth buying the album, take my word for it.

One thing though. Contrary to what I wrote in the genre info (=Prog Metal), there’s not that much *Metal* included.
If you’d like to see the band’s darker side you’d better check the follow-up, “A gentleman’s hurricane”, it’s a lot heavier.

    Great album -21grams, thank you.
If you could post “A gentleman’s hurricane” in 320kbps that would be great; best Prog album of 2007 easily…
