Have you noticed the number of stickers attached to CD cases these days?
When they don’t mention some special guest whose name is more popular than the band itself, they usually describe the genre or even worse exaggerate.
Well, the one on Flagship‘s jewel case says “A Progressive Rock masterpiece” (Exclamation mark)
[a list of the members follows, featuring former Kansas’ guitarist, Kerry Livgren]
Hallelujah! For once the description reflects reality.
“Maiden voyage” is indeed a Prog Rock Masterpiece [although in my book this falls into the Art Rock category – for what it’s worth, ProgArchives.com have them under *Symphonic Prog*]
