-21grams, can you specify the source CD of this rip?
Is it the original Atlantic release, or that dreadful Wounded Bird re-issue?
    Thanks in advance.

Funny you mention this. I was under the impression that the whole purpose of reissues was to enhance the original recordings’ quality 🙂
Can you be more specific? What exactly is wrong with Wounded Bird?
In any case, I only have the (original) tape edition NOT the CD (for the time being that is), so I’ll have to contact the person [Demon’s Eye Music Forum member] who uploaded in the first place in torrent form and get back to you.
Thanks for bringing it up, I’m about to buy all 3 Baton Rouge albums…

I also have this and their 2nd album on cassette.
A good friend of mine has the Wounded Bird reissue of the sophomore album, and he told me that the insert is merely a single page – no lyrics either!
The artwork was supposedly scanned from the vinyl sleeve or the original CD edition. And the sound has definitely NOT been remastered.
Needless to say, this is not an improvement…

Wounded Bird typically put minimum effort in their work, they’re just another budget label or worse. As such they cannot be compared to say Rock Candy known for classy -in all aspects- reissues.
My suggestion: Go for the original Atlantic pressing even if it is harder to find [in case you didn’t know, Wounded Bird has licence rights of Atlantic’s back catalogue]
I don’t have many Wounded Bird titles in my collection…
Just two Virginia Wolf albums (with Jason Bonham – first time issued on CD, so I didn’t really have an alternative), three Vandenberg (because I simply can’t afford the extravagantly priced Japanese imports) and two Streets (again, Wounded Bird was the first and only label to officially release them on CD, so I had no choice)

Very happy to have found this! These guys were some of the best entries of the 90s Hard Rock scene.
I’d really like to get my hands on “Lights out on the playground” & anything else they did.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
