    While Schenker was in great shape at the show of April the 20th, the rest of the band left some to be desired.
    Starting with the Rhythm Section who oversimplified their parts [half the musical passages/fills were inexplicably skipped], followed by the actual songs that were too high pitched for -the otherwise excellent- Doogie White.
    As for the setlist, it featured more Scorpions tunes [a couple of which, e.g. “Blackout” & “Rock you like a hurricane”, are totally irrelevant with Michael Schenker’s work] than UFO tracks.
    I paid to see Schenker’s leads, NOT watch him play rhythm guitar over his (less talented) brother’s songs.
    My overall impression is that the band was underrehearsed, perhaps they rushed starting the tour, the European branch anyway…
    Regardless, another great post from -21grams 🙂

    btw, do you have any of the first two Fury UK albums?

    Οι Fury UK δεν μου έκαναν ιδιαίτερη εντύπωση και ως εκ τούτου δύσκολα θα αναζητήσω κάποιον απ’ τους δίσκους τους.
    Στα υπόλοιπα πάνω-κάτω συμφωνώ, αν και γενικώς με ενοχλεί πολύ περισσότερο ο κακός ήχος (που εξακολουθεί να ταλαιπωρεί τους θεατές των εγχώριων συναυλιών, για να μην πω πως θεωρείται δεδομένος!) σε σχέση με το setlist.
    Για την ιστορία αντί των διασκευών Scorpions που συμπεριλήφθηκαν μετά από *προτροπές* ή ακόμα και *πιέσεις*, θα προτιμούσα υλικό της McAuley Schenker περιόδου η οποία και παραμένει η αγαπημένη μου.

    Για την γενική εικόνα των υπολοίπων μελών του σχήματος που παρουσιάστηκαν ανέτοιμοι/απροβάριστοι κλπ -ειδικά ο Doogie White- αποτελεί ελαφρυντικό (σε κάποιο βαθμό) το γεγονός ότι επρόκειτο για το πρώτο show του Ευρωπαϊκού σκέλους της περιοδείας με αυτό το line-up…
