As most of you may know, these Canadian Melodic Hard Rockers have permanently split-up.
Do they leave a gap hard to fill? It’s not for me to say, I never was a die-hard fan of theirs.
What I can say with certainty, is that after getting a first taste no AOR/Melodic Rock fan stays unaffected.
It makes perfect sense. Harem Scarem is the kind of band whose music has you hooked from the very first seconds.
Extremely catchy, guitar-driven tunes with multiple vocal lines and pompous choruses.
It sounds typical of the genre, I know, yet it works EVERY TIME.

Overall, “Weight of the world” is an *even* album, I’m sure every listener will end up having their own favourites
[mine are #7 “You ruined everything” and the 2nd instrumental of the CD, “See saw”]

The European edition, issued by Frontiers Records, will most likely be even cheaper; just thought you should know 😉
