Don’t be fooled by the name, it may say “The Dregs” but it’s plain old Dixie Dregs actually.
Which means mighty Steve Morse picks the strings – END OF DISCUSSION!

One of their lesser known albums I guess; I had some trouble finding samples on the internet before ordering the original…
Not only that, but the sole CD-rip I managed to find was bad: A song was truncated and I remember listening a few pops/clicks here and there 😡
    See for yourselves:

    1. Sakalli Blog
    Note:
The aforementioned blog has been moved from “sakallimusic.blogspot.com” to “sakalli.blog.hr” and currently resides at “sakalli.info” using paid hosting server [As opposed to free hosting services such as Blogspot.com, WordPress.com etc]
The initial URL has been arranged accordingly.

    2. Poor Quality CD-rip | [Password: sakalli]
The good news is that this particular blogger actually owns the CD and was kind enough to upload a fresh rip [in OGG Vorbis format and error-free I presume].
It made no difference to me though; by the time I saw the update, I had already bought my copy 😉

Anyway, this is EXACTLY what got me started.
I was fed up with the whole situation:
You’re searching through the net for some album, ultimately finding various sources but you still can’t be safe.
Was the CD accurately/securely ripped? Does the link contain transcoded audio from lower bitrate rips?
Or even worse, is it even the same artist/band as seen in the title?
Oh, yes I’ve seen that happened a few times as well, especially when a major band was about to release a new album.
It has happened with Metallica & Dream Theater for sure: Fake CD-rips 😯
And you know what? Some of the visitors/readers will re-post these links some place else, out of sheer excitement for their new discovery or merely to show-off, creating a vicious circle 🙁

That is precisely why I focus on one thing and one thing only: Quality

On another note, have a look at the artwork and tell me what you think of these *mini LP replica CDs*
The entire packaging is meant to resemble the original vinyl issue.
The cardboard sleeve and (part of) the inserts give a retro look, I’ll give them that.
On the other hand, it is way too slim and as such easy to be lost if misplaced…
Next time I’ll probably go for the (conventional) jewel case or digipack edition.

Was the CD accurately/securely ripped? Does the link contain transcoded audio from lower bitrate rips?

The above statement is the primary reason I visit your blog: Trust.
Thanks for continuing to rip your CDs in FLAC.
