Despite the impressive cover, this album is not as good as its predecessor.
But then again “Fine line” set the bar (too) high and perhaps it’s a bit unfair to compare them…
So, does this mean “Outside looking in” is just above average?
Something the MHR/AOR fan could live without?
No, certainly not.
Let me put it this way:
I do NOT regret paying 7 point something € (yes, that too was in the *nice price* bin).
BUT,
if I had the chance, I would most definitely pick the début first [it wasn’t available at the time]
Other than that, Dean Fasano gives another excellent performance.
IMHO he stands equal next to Steve Perry, Lou Gramm etc. In fact I kind of feel guilty I only found out about him a few months ago – after listening “Fallen Angel” on the (internet) radio.
